Design Apprenticeship Program I Final Presentation
|
Meet the next generation of designers This fall, teens from across the D.C. metro area devoted forty hours over the course of eight Saturdays to learning the basics of design and construction in the National Building Museum's Design Apprentice Program. Through a series of hands on exercises, design teams collaborated with design professionals to explore modularity, conceptualize an original design, and fabricate a design solution to activate underutilized spaces within the Museum. Join us for a formal design presentation and reception to celebrate our aspiring designers' hard work. Free. No registration required. Refreshments served. For more information about the event or the Design Apprenticeship Program, please call 202.272.2448, ext. 3301 or email dap@nbm.org. The Design Apprenticeship Program is generously supported by The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, Hattie M. Strong Foundation, McGraw Hill Financial, and The Butz Foundation.
