Lake Borgne Surge BarrierMembers are invited to view the exhibition Designing for Disaster before it opens to the public. This exhibition examines how we assess risks from natural hazards and how we can create policies, plans, and designs yielding safer, more disaster-resilient 

Museum curator Chrsyanthe Broikos leads an exhibition tour at 11 am. Reservations are not required to view the exhibition throughout the day, but space for the tour is limited and reservations are required. Contact Elizabeth Neville to make a tour reservation or call 202.272.2448, ext. 3456.
