Construction Watch Tour: Morrison-Clark Expansion


CWT_MorrisonClark-11x17.jpgOriginally built in 1864, The Morrison-Clark Inn is a restored 19th-century mansion that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and currently undergoing an expansion. Paul Grossman, project manager with Forrester Construction leads a tour of the 43,000-square-foot addition that incorporates neighboring historic structures and utilizes external bracing and underpinnings to preserve facades of an existing rectory and an 1880s townhouse.

2.0 LU HSW (AIA)

Open only to Museum members, $35. Members of The Corinthians and The Builders receive advance registration beginning September 22, by calling 202.272.2448 from 10 am–5 pm, Monday through Friday. General membership registration begins at 10 am on September 29, and will be assigned based on space availability. To upgrade your membership, please contact the Membership Office at 202.272.2448. Please note: most tours require extensive stair climbing. On-site registration is not available.
