CityVision students test park design.

The National Building Museum’s Teen Programs teach the principles of design to show participants that they can affect the world around them and enact positive change through good design. As students explore challenges, brainstorm solutions, and accomplish projects together, they learn the importance of teamwork, creative problem solving, and advocacy.

Through research and hands-on prototyping, students from Stuart-Hobson Middle School explored how to create active play spaces. In collaboration with the NoMa BID, they used their research to design much needed park space for the NoMa neighborhood. They will present their work at the BID. Join us for a reception and showcase of their work at the Museum.
