Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital: Green Building for a Sustainable Future |
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s (CBF) Brock Environmental Center in Virginia Beach, Va., is designed as one of the most environmentally savvy buildings on earth. Mary Tod Winchester, Vice President of Administration & Operations, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and Greg Mella, SmithGroupJJR Architect, will use film clips to present the dynamic, collaborative process for the design and construction of the center and discuss why it is an international model of energy and water efficiency, collaboration, and minimal impact. This program complements the exhibition HOT TO COLD: an odyssey of architectural adaptation, which is open to attendees before the film. 1.5 LU HSW (AIA) $10 Members; $10 Students; $12 Non-members.
